Pet DP in PvE
Has anyone else noticed that pets in a PvE enviroment are now showing signs of DP? I can understand this in GvG and PvP, but in PvE? I understand that many of you feel that it is only fair, to some extant that is true. But you don't become useless for ten seconds in the middle of a battle when your another member of your party dies, do you.
If pets in PvE now have DP, please please please let us get armor for our pets. Is that too much to ask? |

I can't find it, but do recall this as being a change that is intended...sucks, but there it is.

DP was briefly in for pets in PvE in the past, but was removed since implementing it was an accident. It was said that pet DP will be put in for PvE eventually, but not until better pet control is implemented.
And I still haven't noticed any signs of DP for pets in PvE. |

I really like my pet and often we can be found exploring the various maps togther. I guess that is why I noticed it. Normally I can keep my pet and I alive through out the battle. Now however, that has become very difficult. Once he dies, the next time is faster and faster. I will admit that the creatures in Nightfall are heavy on the damage dealing side of things. Overall, the areas we are exploring now are worse than the Jade Sea.

So they really are making rangers the only class whose weapons get DP? I thought they changed their mind! I really hope that you just think that they are getting DP, but they really won't. If your right, I'm going to have to come up with new ranger builds, because all of mine involve pets. I'm gonna miss my pet....

DP = Death Penalty?
How can one know if a Pet, Hero, or Henchman is suffering it? The only reason I took second profession ranger on my dervish was to give her a pet croc and name it 'Steve'. Been thinking of renaming it 'Crickey Mate.' |

Hero's are easy. Bring up the hero's skill bar (Press the number next to him/her in party panel). As for Henchies and pets, there is no way to tell at the moment.

Well there is no immediate and concrete way to see how much dp a henchie or pet would have, but you can sure as hell tell when they start dying quickly due to high dp.
As the poster a few up said, they specifically said that they would not implement pet DP in PvE until they could formulate better controls of the pets. |
